# Signing In

To use Places, you’ll need a **ShapesXR account**.

2. After signing up, check your inbox for a verification email and click the link to confirm your address. You’ll also be asked to complete a short survey to finish setting up your account.
3. Once your account is ready, contact your **Sales representative** to request a Places license. When your license is activated, you’ll gain access to the **Places Dashboard**.
4. As a license holder, you can publish and manage immersive spaces through the Places Dashboard — your central hub for working with Places.\
To switch to it, open the ShapesXR Dashboard, click the button next to your account icon, and select **Places**.

Next, you’ll need to [pair your devices](/places/places-dashboard/pairing-and-workstations-management.md) and [create your first place](/places/places-dashboard/creating-places.md) to get started.
