Lobby

In the Lobby, you can create, join & manage spaces and projects, change your name, and access samples and tutorials.

Your profile

Click on the arrow button next to your profile picture at the top left corner of the Lobby, and choose Profile to get to your profile. You can change your name here, check the email associated with the Shapes account, check your current plan, and meet the comparative table of plans to learn about Shapes features.

Also, you can click on the arrow button next to your profile picture to log out or quit the app.

Spaces

Recents: All available spaces sorted by last viewed.

My spaces: All spaces you've created.

Shared with me: Spaces shared with you, if you ever entered an access code or followed a link and accepted a space invitation.

How to create a space

Click on the "New space" button at the top right corner of the Lobby.

How to join a space

Click on the "Join space" button at the top right corner of the Lobby and type the space code.

How to return to the Lobby

While in a space, go to your hand menu and click on the Home button.

Actions with spaces

Click on the 3 dots button on the space card to open a space submenu with action available for this space:

  • Share: get the space code and see the list of users who joined this space.

  • Rename: change the space name.

  • Duplicate: make a copy of this space.

  • Move to: move the space to a project (more: Project management)

  • Delete: remove the space.

Projects

On a paid plan or a trial, you'll see the Project section - it contains all projects available for you. You can create spaces inside the projects or move existing spaces to them. More about projects - here.

Samples

This section contains examples of spaces made by the Shapes team.

You can go to the sample, switch scenes, and try the Play mode if this sample is interactive.

Create your editable space based on the sample - press the "Use this sample" button, and the sample's duplicate will be opened and ready to be edited.

Tutorials

In this section, you can find educational videos about working in Shapes. Click on the video and "Open in a space" button to learn by repeating actions directly in a space.
