# Space links

In Shapes, you can create «portals» or links to other spaces. They allow you to be more flexible and hop between your various creations, designs stories, and ideas.

### How to create a space link

1. Open a space in which you want to place the space link.
2. Go to the Lobby and choose a space you want to link with. You can create a link to any space available in the Lobby.
3. Click on the 3 dots button on this space to open a submenu. Then click on the "Create a Space Link" button.
4. The space link will be added to your opened space. Now, you can use it by hovering over it and pressing the trigger button long to jump to this space.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://learn.shapesxr.com/basics/space-links.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
