Frames (Former Scenes)

The Frames system can be used in a wide variety of ways. The different frames could represent variants of a design you would like to share, or even 3D frames of a storyboard illustrating an interaction, a customer journey, or a user flow.

Open the Space menu -> Frames tab to see the Frames list in your space. Select the frame in the list to get to it or switch frames using the stick in your non-dominant hand.

To duplicate the current frame, click on the Plus button in the frames list or on the action bar on the Frame tab.

On the action panel, you also have the following actions with frames:

  • Add an empty frame.

  • Move the frame back and forth to rearrange the frames.

  • Switch to/from Background.

  • Autoplay (for more info, go to Animation).

  • Rename frame.

  • Delete frame.

You also have the action panel on your non-dominant controller - touch the stick to make it appear.

To move objects between frames, grab any object and switch the frame using the non-dominant hand stick.

Background scene

All objects in the Background scene are visible in all other frames. Making any changes to this special scene will propagate across all frames.

You can get this scene from any other frame, no matter what number it is.

To do it, click on the "Go to Background" button on the action panel on the Frames tab.

You'll see a notification above the menu reminding you that you're on the Background scene. To switch from Background, you can use the same button on the action panel, or the "Return" button on the notification.

To move objects to the Background scene, use the Object Inspector: select an object (or objects), click on the 3 dots menu in the Inspector, and choose Move to Background.

You can do the same to move objects from the Background scene to any other frame: while you're in the Background, choose the target frame with the non-dominant stick, select an object, click on the 3 dots menu in the Inspector, and choose Move to Foreground.
