File management (folders)

Our paid plans include the ability to create folders and manage your assets in VR and in the shapes.app web panel. Сhanges applied in the dashboard and in the application are synchronized.

File management in VR

Folder creation

To create a folder, open the Import panel in the Creation tool. At the top of the panel, click on the "Create Folder" button with the Trigger button.

Renaming, moving, and deleting files and folders

To move, rename, or delete files or folders in VR, click on the folder or file icon with the Trigger button. After clicking, action buttons will appear at the top: rename, move, delete.

Renaming of files or folders

Click on the icon of the file or folder, then click the “Rename” button. Using the keyboard, enter a new file/folder name.

Moving files or folders

Select the files(or folders) you want to move by clicking on the file icon with the Trigger button. Then click the “Move” button. After that:

Hover over the icon of the folder where you want to move these files and click on it.

Or open the folder where you want to move these files and click the “Confirm” button.

Click the Cancel button to cancel the file moving process.

Deleting files or folders

Select the objects you want to delete by clicking on the icon of files/folders with the Trigger button. Then click on the "Delete" button that appears. Confirm the action in the action confirmation window.

File management through Dashboard

Folder creation

Open https://shapes.app/#/import in your browser. To create a new folder, press the “Create New Folder” button. In the window that appears, enter the name of the new folder and click the “Create” button.

Renaming, moving, and deleting folders

Open a folder to rename, move, or delete it. Click the arrow next to the folder name to open a window with a list of actions.

Renaming folders

Select the “Rename” button from the list of actions. In the window that appears, enter a new name for the folder.

Moving folders

Select the “Move” button from the list of actions. In the window that appears, select the folder where you want to move your folder and click the Move button.

Deleting folders

Select the “Delete” button from the list of actions. The folder will be deleted and you will be redirected to the main import page.

Moving, downloading, and deleting files

Click on any of your files on the https://shapes.app/import page. The following action buttons will appear at the bottom of the screen: download, move, delete.
